We had the greatest parade in Wisconsin. In 2011, we had the most units ever, with the most floats ever. The entire event took one hour and fifteen minutes, with brisk marching the course of the day.

The 2012 St. Patrick's Day Parade takes place at our original home
along Wisconsin Avenue. March 10 will see the Shamrock Club's return to
Wisconsin Avenue for the ninth time in over two decades. This has been the
largest St. Patrick's Day Parade in Wisconsin, and in 2011, was viewed
by 65,000 spectators, who endured blistering cold winds.

The downtown parade has been the largest parade of any type in
Wisconsin for most of the past six years, and this year we are
staying true to that history. Check our parade site at Saint Patrick's Parade. Thanks for joining the Shamrock Club, and our partners, Westown, and Miller Lite, for what has become one of the largest St Patrick's
Day Parades in North America. It is the greatest family friendly event
of the season. We hosted six Irish dance schools, pipe bands,
clowns, drill teams, marching bands, and the most Irish organizations
in the greater Milwaukee area. It is a spectacle to behold, and a very
Irish display of our honor to St. Patrick. It was a wonderful
display of our Irish pride.
Milwaukee's Hunger Task Force will collect non-perishable food along the parade route again this year.

Thanks to all who join us on the greatest day of the year. And
thanks for being a part of Milwaukee's Irish history and present. And
remember - Everyone is Irish for St. Patrick's Day!!!
